The unit has been awarded BFI Level 3. We have exciting opportunities for new and experienced midwives to join our established team of midwives at NLAG.
Main duties of the job
1. Assesses, develops, implements and evaluates programmes of care in a range of environments, without supervision.
2. Supports, supervises and teaches less experienced staff on the ward/team relevant clinical and non-clinical procedures and practices.
3. Works autonomously within the department/team within Trust guidelines and sphere of professional practice.

Essential
* Current, active UK NMC registered Midwife
Desirable
* Midwifery Degree or working towards
* NMC Registered Adult Nurse
* Evidence of post registration development in Midwifery
* NHS Leadership training
* Management qualification
* Qualified sign-off Mentor or willingness to undertake
Occupational Experience
Desirable
* Experience of managing a team or area, or experience of being 'in charge' of a shift
* Successfully completed preceptorship package or demonstrable equivalent competencies and skills (Band 6)
