Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Temporary Mental Health Nurse to join our team at a prestigious private hospital in Wellingborough which specialise in neurological rehabilitation. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations.
* Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans.
* Administer medications and monitor their effects.
* Provide support and counseling to patients and their families.
* Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
* Clinical Duties:
* Monitor patients’ progress and report any changes to the medical team.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
* Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
* Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
* Support and Education:
* Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
* Promote mental health awareness and advocate for patients’ needs.
* Provide mentorship and support to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
* Professional Development:
* Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance nursing skills.
* Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars relevant to mental health nursing.
Qualifications:
* Education: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
* Licensure: Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
* Experience: Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
