Job Title: Executry Paralegal Location: Edinburgh (Office-Based) Working Pattern: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (with 1 hour lunch break) Salary: Competitive Reports To: Senior Executry Paralegal Your Role: As an Executry Paralegal, you will independently manage a diverse caseload of executry files, from initial client meetings to completion. Key Responsibilities: Administer testate and intestate executries from start to finish. Proactively manage your caseload and deliver exceptional client service. Communicate effectively with executors and third parties. Calculate and apply inheritance tax exemptions and reliefs. Complete HMRC inheritance tax forms and prepare executry accounts. Handle legal rights calculations and related issues. Maintain accurate records on the firm’s document management system. Adhere to all firm policies. Essential Skills and Experience: Relevant formal qualification (Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal preferred). Minimum 5 years’ experience in handling executries. Strong understanding of inheritance tax, legal rights, and executry administration. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
