Debt Recovery Assistant– The clients we are acting for are a Chambers ranked, Legal 500 firm that are voted within the Top 100 in the UK. They now require a further Debt Recovery Assistant to join their team at their West Sussex offices.
About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with the Legal Manager, providing a debt collection service for high-profile banking and finance clients, as well as supporting internal debt recovery processes. The team deals with many financial services clients who regularly instruct them, offering an opportunity to forge relationships and help grow the firm's strong client base. You will be responsible for liaising with both clients and debtors, communicating via phone and written correspondence. Where settlement terms cannot be negotiated with debtors, you will prepare and progress claims to obtain judgement and assist with enforcement procedures if necessary.
Candidate Requirements
You will need experience of working within the legal or professional services sector in a similar type of role. Excellent customer service skills, a confident telephone manner and the ability to communicate effectively are essential in this role. You will also be encouraged to build and grow relationships and participate with business development initiatives.
