Job Purpose
As Cash Collections Insight Manager you will support the strategic objectives of the Income business area by developing insight from business analysis into cash performance to drive improvements and mitigate impacts in risk areas.
Providing the Head of Income and the Collections Strategy Manager with the relevant information to enable decision making on collections activity and bad-debt provisioning.
Acting as a specialist within the area of cash collection insight and any associated cross-functional business activities.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Partner with our finance and wider Income team to support change initiatives, identifying opportunities or risks that might have a financial impact, and adding those into our forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
* Use your commercial insight and data modelling skills to provide cash and debt analysis to support the Income team, with a focus on insights where action can be taken to improve business performance.
* Work closely with key business leaders to deliver detailed and accurate reports, financial plans and insightful analysis
* Analysing payment patterns to propose solutions that improve cash flow, including Cash Forecasting, Early Intervention and Affordability processes, and Court Recommendations.
* Develop and manage a suite of management reports and dashboards informing the business on cash collection performance drilling down into the data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Technical Skills & Experience
* Experience in insight, analysis, or Financial Planning & Analysis teams with strong knowledge of budgets and forecasts.
* Experience in managing a team of analysts.
* A sharp analytical mind, ability to interpret data, commercial acumen, ability to ‘tell the story’ and focus the business on what matters.
* Power-user of Alteryx Designer and Tableau Desktop/Power BI and MS Office
* Extensive understanding of Billing, debt management and CRM system an advantage.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
* A 2.1 or higher degree or post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or relevant experience.
* Ideally an accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) or in the final stages of working towards one.
