Key Responsibilities
* To take full responsibility of the site during the shift in terms of management of staff, management of production (Intake – Despatch), quality targets, security, housekeeping and hygiene,
* To take full responsibility of the quality & food safety and product that is produced within the shift in line with the company’s quality systems, processes and procedures,
* Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff though coaching/scheduled 1-2-1 meetings with SMART objectives,
* Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance and downtime, taking ownership for downtime rout cause analysis,
* To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff,
* To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with,
* Problem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand,
* To work closely with other Shift Supervisor to ensure production handovers are effective communications tools.
* To ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shifts and that carer progression is mapped out for all employees,
* To have an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company,
* Continuously maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace whilst managing staff in daily/weekly cleaning regimes,
* Ensure that all employees take responsibility for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs,
* Be able to make appropriate decisions while following the company’s organisational structure,
* Complete daily/weekly audits and follow through actions,
* Maintaining high level of timekeeping and attendance is of the essence,
Hours:
* Weekly rotating shifts:
* 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
* 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
* Monday to Friday (a reasonable amount of flexibility and overtime may be required).
