Our client was first set up at the very end of 2016 with an initial team of 8 fee earners and support staff. Today they are the leading boutique planning law firm. Based in London but working across the rest of England and Wales, providing unparalleled planning law advice in relation to large complex developments, compulsory purchase, and rating matters.
They are now looking to hire a Finance Assistant.
Responsibilities
1. Processing daily account transactions and managing the client and office account.
2. Performing bank reconciliations.
3. Setting up payments.
4. Posting journals.
5. Providing credit control support and interfacing with clients in a professional manner.
6. Supporting fee earners and answering queries in an efficient and timely manner.
7. Processing purchase invoices.
8. Liaising with third party suppliers.
9. Processing staff expenses and credit card payments.
10. Dealing with cheques and ad hoc banking queries.
11. Providing general finance admin support and assisting with the management of the Accounts inbox.
Candidate Profile
1. Minimum 12 months accounting experience (preferably in a law firm/professional service environment).
2. Professional qualification/part qualification/QBE.
3. Knowledge of SARs.
4. Proficiency in Excel skills.
5. Aderant system experience preferable.
6. A can-do attitude, trustworthy, and discreet.
