The Trust is developing an increasingly important role within the new Integrated Care System (ICS) frameworks, and colleagues across the Trust have played vital leading roles in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. An opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Legislation Assistant to work within the Mental Health Legislation Team. The work is varied and interesting and will provide valuable experience in both the Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts. You will be part of the Mental Health Legislation Team, which is responsible for ensuring the lawful application of the Mental Health Act, and related legislation, for all patients from referral and admission through to discharge. You will provide a comprehensive, efficient clerical/typing/support service to the Mental Health Legislation Team, as well as liaising with other departments and personnel within the Hospital and outside agencies. This will include coordinating the Tribunal (Mental Health) application procedure, assisting with the visiting arrangements for the Mental Health Act Associate Managers and other professionals, and liaising with all parties relevant to the processes. We are one of the largest mental health and community Trusts in the East Midlands and one of Nottinghamshire's biggest employers. We offer a variety of employee-led staff networks, including Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) groups, the Green Champions network, the Freedom to Speak Up network, the Health and Wellbeing Champions network, and the Menopause Champions network.
