Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard enriching the lives of the people we support with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!
We are also focused on our people. Our teams are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us. Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: This is the perfect opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, positive and upbeat attitude and passion for the people we support. Deputising across four different services in the Basingstoke area, you will be working with many different people, so being flexible and having great interpersonal skills is a must. Working with the current experienced and dedicated Service Leader Level 3 (Manager), you will all strive to ensure the people we support are able to be part of their local and wider community. The services are within a few miles of each other and accessible by car, (so being a driver is essential). This is a great opportunity to make a genuine difference, where you will be responsible for leading an engaged and motivated team to change lives and deliver person-centred outcomes for every person we support. You will also take the lead by driving performance, setting the pace and direction within services, promoting a positive and passionate culture, and ensuring that services are appropriately and effectively resourced to change lives for the better. Having good time management skills along a good understanding of CQC requirements will also come in handy! The people we support, need assistance with many aspects of their lives including personal care and to mobilise using their wheelchairs, along with support to enjoy their interests and hobbies. They enjoy bowling and going out for lunch at cafés. Some also attend regular clubs, enjoy going on boat trips and they all enjoy like-minded people's companionship! They really are living their best lives possible! You will have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.
In addition you will have a keen eye for detail, and have a real drive to want to acheive outcomes and meet deadlines. You will also be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area. Ideally, you will also need to hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care at Level. However, if you don't, then as long as you would be willing to complete your level 3, then we will support you throughout! We hope this will be the first step in your leadership career with us, and that this first step will stand you in great stead for further development opportunities with the charity.
