Through a successful partnership approach this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of Cox Automotive’s Talent, Learning and Development strategy with the scoping, design and delivery of impactful learning and development interventions. Responsible for building strong relationships with the business and key stakeholders, this role will provide advice, recommendations, and guidance in order to achieve business plans and support continuous improvement. The L&D Business Partner will lead on developing core skills training for our team members while also supporting wider people and development initiatives. This involved leading on L&D projects, as well as creating robust training programmes, working with both in-house and external experts to ensure our solutions align with our values. Collaborating with our business leaders and HR Business Partners to ensure all training is fit for purpose and effectively embedded.Objectives for Role: Learning & Development Support the design, delivery and facilitation of Cox Automotive internal learning and development programmes, aligned to the Talent, Learning and Development strategy Take responsibility for the management of key L&D projects from training needs analysis, through to design, delivery and evaluation Provides learning & development support across various business areas, functionally and geographically. Partners with business leaders to understand business objectives, identify training needs and establish ROI measures to develop tailored learning solutions. Provide expert advice on best practices in learning and development Prepares and presents learning / execution strategies for selected programs. Facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to diverse audiences. Utilise a variety of instructional techniques to ensure effective learning outcomes Assess the effectiveness of training programmes through feedback, assessments and performance metrics. Continuously improve training programmes based on data and feedback Design, develop and maintain a Cox Automotive internal mentoring programme, utilising online tools available in the business Promptly keeps managers and key stakeholders informed of attendance, engagement or academic team member challenges and provides appropriate recommendations to assist with corrective action processes Support the branding and communication activity for CALI Academies to promote the full Talent, Learning and Development offering, including funded development opportunities Has a continuous improvement mindset, reviewing all learning and development activity to ensure all activity continues to be fit for purpose and delivers against objectives Celebrate success of our programmes through coordinating internal and external communication campaigns in collaboration with the relevant teams and supporting the delivery of our CALI Graduation events Promote Cox Automotive’s full training offering through open days, virtual events and one to one discussion. Projects & Implementation Effectively lead and project manage L&D projects in line with strategic business objectives and clear ROI measures, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and timely implementation Work with key stakeholders to produce physical and digital educational material e.g videos, case studies Management Information & Data Accountable for the recording and maintaining of accurate data of all learning and development activity taking place across the business Provide timely data with analysis of trends and areas of improvement, working with relevant stakeholders to address. Talent and Early Careers Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the development, design and delivery of key talent programmes to support our commitment to progression and enable effective succession planning Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders, including People Solutions and senior leaders, understanding their requirements to design and implement effective talent development programmes Support the delivery of an early careers framework adapted to support business areas with their early careers requirements. Support the delivery of strategic early careers attraction, recruitment and development programmes, aligned to future business requirements Partner with People Solutions and business leads to identify opportunities for increasing diversity in our learning and development programmes, including supporting outreach opportunities collaborating with specialist providers to promote the industry and Cox Automotive as an inclusive place to work Internal Relationship Management Ensures effective governance, meeting structure and dialogue with all relevant internal stakeholders. Ensure the business understands L&D and Talent opportunities, funded development and early careers offerings. Uses appropriate forums to communicate relevant updates on key focuses. Maintains the L&D online pages to ensure information is kept up to date and accurate Work closely with the communications teams to ensure consistent messages are driven across the business. Is a key member of the Learning and Development Network, collaborating with internal L&D and training specialists to achieve standardisation and consistency across the organisation, providing support, guidance and expertise as required External Relationship Management Support in the tender process for new external training providers Manage relationships with Training providers, ensuring SLA’s and quality are met. Support in developing great relationships with schools, colleges and universities ensuring Cox Automotive is positively represented at all times. Where required, work in collaboration with external parties who can support outreach programmes in schools, colleges and universities, widening the reach of Cox Automotive Self – Development Drives own professional development and that of the business with a growth mindset. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks Keeps abreast of latest changes, updates and new opportunities in Learning and Development theories, design and delivery Shares experiences and knowledge in team meetings, learning sessions and other events. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise: ·Learning & Development qualification, or relevant working experience Experience of working in a training or learning-related role Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training programmes Excellent facilitation and presentation skills Experience with learning platforms and tools Strong team player who excels in collaborative working Drive for results and ability to develop early-stage recommendations for discussion and further development. Curious, questioning, and able to utilise data to develop insight. Collaborative and able to work across the business and externally building effective relationships. Strong business acumen and commercial awareness with the ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels within an organisation.
