The Role:
As the Head of Content – NEC Contracts, you will oversee the development, management and distribution of NEC's published content. Working closely with the NEC Contract Drafting Board, you will ensure that the content aligns with market needs while driving innovation and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for leading the editorial process, developing new business cases for content and collaborating with internal teams and external experts to ensure that NEC contracts remain relevant and accessible across global markets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to create, review and update NEC-related content, including contracts, guides, articles and case studies.
* Oversee content creation from initial research to publication, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with established standards.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with NEC’s business goals.
* Manage the content production process, collaborating with external suppliers and freelancers as necessary.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations and incorporate relevant updates into the content strategy.
* Monitor intellectual property (IP) activities, including development, usage and licensing, ensuring compliance.
* Conduct content audits, gather feedback and implement necessary changes to enhance content quality.
* Manage the content development budget and identify opportunities for innovation in content production.
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience in leading content teams and developing content strategies.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital content platforms.
* Experience in the construction or related industries, with knowledge of contracts and project management.
* Commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate and drive business opportunities.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
* Strategic thinker with a proactive approach and ability to collaborate across functions.
