Job Title: Employee Relations Advisor

Salary: Up to £32,500 per annum
Reports To: Employee Relations Manager
About the Role: Are you a skilled and proactive Employee Relations professional looking to make a real impact? We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our clients dedicated team on a permanent, Hybrid basis. If you have a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices, combined with the ability to deliver fair and consistent advice in a timely manner, this role could be your next step.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice and case management on a range of employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, long-term absence, and AWOL cases.
* Lead and manage investigations into complex cases such as alleged gross misconduct and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) issues.
* Upskill and support people managers on the effective management of disciplinary and grievance processes.
* Support managers during formal hearings and provide expert guidance to ensure fair and legally compliant outcomes.
* Prepare detailed, objective, and accurate investigation reports, providing clear recommendations for the next steps.
* Report on case volumes, trends, and high-risk cases, collaborating with People Business Partners to ensure complex cases are managed appropriately.
* Assist with Employment Tribunal claims and support restructuring, redundancy, and TUPE processes.
What We’re Looking For:
* A proven background in HR or Employee Relations, with demonstrable experience in managing complex ER issues and investigations.
* In-depth knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices, with the ability to implement these in a practical way.
* Experience managing end-to-end investigations, including disciplinary, grievance, and attendance management cases.
* A sound ability to weigh up complex evidence, make fair decisions, and protect the organisation’s interests.
* Strong experience advising on a wide range of ER matters, including restructures, redundancies, and TUPE.
* Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and HR systems.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple cases, and prioritise effectively.
