Your Role as Assistant SENCO: Support the SENCO in managing and delivering SEN provision across the school. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement EHCPs and targeted interventions. Oversee SEN assessments, progress tracking, and reports to ensure effective student support. Deliver small-group interventions and one-to-one support for students with additional needs. Lead and develop staff training on SEN strategies, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning. Help create an inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students reach their full potential. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ QTS and experience in SEN teaching (NASENCO qualification desirable but not essential). ✅ A strong understanding of SEN strategies, EHCPs, and interventions within a secondary setting. ✅ Leadership skills – ability to inspire and support staff in delivering high-quality SEN provision. ✅ Excellent communication & organisational skills – to work effectively with students, staff, and parents. ✅ A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting student development. ✅ Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
