Responsibilities:
1. Ensures effective functioning of the unit.
2. Follows the chain of command in reporting incidents or concerns.
3. Prioritizes workload and completes correspondence on time.
4. Provides information to prospective customers and hospital staff by answering all specific inquiries regarding patients' queries.
5. Ensures a safe working environment through strict compliance with Hospital Policy and Procedures regarding safety, infection, and security.
6. Participates in mock codes.
7. Answers phone calls politely and professionally using proper telephone etiquette.
8. Registers new patients, ensuring the pre-registration form is completed and signed, and an approved identification (Emirate ID or Passport) is collected.
9. Adheres to the hospital policy 'Identification of Patient' during appointment booking and registration.
10. Ensures the correct entry of rounding fees and other charges whenever requested by supervisors.
11. Schedules and books appointments as requested appropriately.
12. Transfers and cancels appointments.
13. Informs patients regarding the reference number.
14. Covers other departments whenever required.
15. Liaises with the Insurance and Finance Departments.
16. Coordinates with different departments for appointment booking (urgent or routine).
17. Directs patients to another department as required.
18. Encourages patients to complete the patient satisfaction (Press Ganey) survey.
19. Ensures that all stand layouts are filled and updated with new brochures.
20. Assists in the orientation of new staff members.
21. Ensures that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
22. Ensures that the register book is up to date to reflect 24-hour status for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
23. Updates patients' list including all mandatory information.
