ROLE OVERVIEW The Consultant Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in guiding our clients through their digital transformation journey. This is a consulting role that requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to design and implement robust retail enterprise architecture solutions that align with business goals and drive innovation. Key Responsibilities 1. Architecture Strategy Development Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (e.g. IT, Marketing, Finance, Operations etc) to define and implement enterprise architecture strategies that support business objectives and improve operational efficiency Assess current IT architecture and recommend improvements to enhance performance and scalability. 2. Solution Design: Design and document architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure the integrity and quality of IT solutions. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to support business requirements. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven omnichannel retail sector experience (5 years) in enterprise architecture, systems integration, or related roles. Strong understanding of retail enterprise architecture frameworks Extensive experience with SaaS platforms (including evaluation and integration). Deep understanding of various architectural styles (e.g., microservices, SOA, cloud-native) Multi public cloud platform experience (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) Strong working knowledge in a range of cloud resources - APIs, Databases, Storage, Networking, Security, Identity, Management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively, a in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with retail-specific technologies such as Point of Sale (POS) systems, inventory management systems, e-commerce platforms, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools Experience with data governance and knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) relevant to retail operations Experience in integrating legacy systems with modern cloud-based solutions Experience in designing solutions that can handle high-volume transactions and seasonal peaks Relevant Certifications preferable (TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
