About the area Development and Alumni Relations [DAR] oversees the University’s alumni, philanthropic and community strategies. The function works collaboratively across the University to embed philanthropic and engagement activity into the University’s operations. The core responsibility of the team is to lead and build on the University’s alumni, donor, and community relations to advance the University’s goals. About the opportunity Establish and nurture key philanthropic relationships to secure major, principal, and legacy gifts that support UWA’s strategic priorities. Manage a diverse portfolio of donors and prospects, building long-term partnerships that drive impactful giving. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement effective fundraising initiatives that advance UWA’s teaching, learning, and research goals. Contribute to a culture of philanthropy, playing a pivotal role in shaping the University’s future through meaningful support. About you Significant experience managing fundraising programs, including principal, major, and legacy gifts. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. A strong strategic mindset and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office. A sound understanding of the Australian charity and fundraising environment. Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
