NavLive is a spin-out from the University of Oxford, backed by award-winning technology and algorithms. We are developing real-time spatial AI solutions for the construction and geospatial industries. We use real-time multi-sensor fusion and high-precision positioning technology to build 3D models of indoor and outdoor environments in real-time. Our tech can infer what has changed and provide insights to facility owners or site decision-makers.
We want to recruit a Product Manager to help us develop our products with partners in the above-mentioned sectors. Are you interested in joining a rapidly growing start-up to develop advanced technology which will revolutionise how companies monitor their assets, make decisions and measure the real world?
Tasks
Product management for existing product line (physical product, attached mobile app and portal)
* Develop a holistic understanding of the full product - including hardware, software, and cloud services.
* Understand the competitive landscape, including our competitors and existing customer workflows.
* Liaise with hardware engineers and industrial designers to align hardware choices with the product vision. Note: No specific hardware expertise is required for this role, but the product manager should have a good appreciation for how the hardware affects the user experience.
* Liaise with the technical R&D team to confirm output of algorithms (e.g. 3D mapping) is consistent with customer expectations. This includes helping to define the required specifications of the output floor plan or building model.
* Own the UX design (Figma) and support the front-end engineers to implement the design. This includes updating the Figma to support new product features or any changes as required.
* QA testing of new releases and features (two week release cycles)
* Work with end users to verify our product is meeting their needs
Designing the “next generation” of product
* Helping to shape the future direction of the product, including:
* Customer interviews
* Potentially developing an app-based version of the software, or deciding on major new product features to be developed.
* This is required for the second half of 2025 for both our technical teams, and also to provide a product vision for future rounds of investment.
* Developing a long-term product strategy.
* Owning the product and UX design for any future-generation products.
Supporting the product’s go-to-market
* Supporting product demos to customers to gather feedback.
* Helping to coordinate an “early adopter” program for the beta version of the product (Q1/Q2 2025).
* Owning the brand identity.
* Helping to develop marketing collateral, including sales decks or marketing videos.
* Developing material, comparing our product to competitors.
* Writing technical documentation for the product (e.g. user manuals, quick start guides).
* Ad-hoc customer support, as required. Feedback to inform product development.
Prioritisation and sprint planning
* Supporting technical leads to define upcoming product priorities, plan sprints, and define product development timelines.
* Support communication of product timelines and priorities to the engineering team.
Requirements
Essential requirements for this role:
* At least 4 years experience in a product management role
* At least 2 years experience directing the user experience of a consumer product, ideally a mobile app
* As comfortable working on user research, design as you are working with engineering teams
* Demonstrable experience of leading customer focussed and led products
* Proven success building digital products that has had/is having demonstrable commercial success
* Strong collaboration, analytical, and communication skills
The following are desirable skills and experiences:
* Background knowledge or previous experience in the architecture, surveying, or construction industries
* Experience working with developers on complex algorithm technology (i.e. developing rather than simply consuming the models behind ML/AI)
Benefits
For the successful candidate, we can offer:
* Competitive salary offering: £55k - £65k per year
* 25 days of paid annual leave plus bank holidays
* Salary pension exchange scheme
* A dynamic fast-moving work environment with offices in central Oxford and London
* On-the-job training in cutting-edge robotics and AI

* Flexibility - This role involves on-site and in-person time, but we structure our working week to enable hybrid work arrangements (working-from-home 1-2 days per week). We more highly value excellent work than always on-site working.
Our working week is centred around a set of core working hours but we offer extra flexibility for candidates with specific personal constraints.
