This expansion marks an exciting time in our journey, and we are looking for a dedicated Quality Manager, to join our growing team.
As specialists in the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke magnetic shielding solutions and rooms, we serve an expanding customer base across the UK, Europe, the USA, and Asia.
Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Staplehurst, Kent, is fully equipped to deliver exceptional service and quality, with all manufacturing processes – including heat treatment – seamlessly integrated on-site.
In this role, you’ll oversee our Quality Management System, and will also be responsible for assessing current quality processes and driving continuous improvements to ensure we maintain the highest standards.
Additionally, the role includes responsibility for quality management at MSL Heat Treatment, a smaller satellite company associated with MSL, which is expected to take up less than 10% of the time.

Improve and maintain the internal audit program for monitoring the QMS.
Manage document control systems.
Arrange and chair regular management review meetings of the QMS.
Process Improvement: Engage all areas of the business to eliminate process failures and implement robust controls.
Educate colleagues on process changes, achieving buy-in to new procedures.
Present relevant information to the management team to highlight progress, improvements, opportunities, and risks.
Customer and Supplier Management: Manage relationships with customers and external bodies regarding the QMS.
Maintain and audit the approved suppliers list.
Raise and manage internal and external non-conformance investigations, including corrective and preventative actions.
Team Leadership: Manage and actively guide the Quality Team.
Coach process owners in good QMS practices to enable them to deliver excellence.
Actively support and contribute to the continuous improvement of MSL as a whole.
MSL Heat Treatment: Oversee quality management responsibilities for MSL Heat Treatment, ensuring compliance with standards and alignment with MSL’s quality objectives.
Key Tasks/Duties: Improving/maintaining the internal audit program for monitoring the QMS Educate and coach colleagues through process change and achieving buy-in to new processes Engage all areas of the business to eliminate process failures and implement robust controls to ensure failures are not repeated through process change and management information reporting Perform process audits and drive corrective actions.
Essential Skills and Experience: Proven experience improving service delivery in line with ISO 9001 standards.
Proven managerial experience in a quality-focused role.
Strong track record of achieving quality targets and goals.
Experience raising non-conformance reports and conducting investigations.
Excellent communication skills for internal and external engagement.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and focused work approach.
Proficiency in IT skills and ERP systems.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
A "do-er" with strategic thinking who will deliver to the leadership team.
Previous experience implementing best practices and integrating quality management standards and systems.
Desirable Skills and Experience: Experience in a manufacturing and engineering background.
Understanding of engineering drawings, projections, and tolerances.
Familiarity with Process Flow & FMEA processes.
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques, such as 5S or Six Sigma.
Experience with SPC/PQR analysis.
Knowledge of 8D reports and root cause analysis.
Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
