We are looking for a Senior Transport Planner or a Transport Planner looking for their next career step up to join our growing Transport Planning team. Working on a diverse and interesting range of transport planning projects, you will have a strong track record of being able to undertake and deliver transport planning projects as part of a team or independently. You will ideally be working towards being a Chartered Transport Planner (TPP) or Engineer (CEng) with experience working on various small and medium-sized projects and possibly managing small packages on large projects. Youll be working as part of an enthusiastic and committed team to deliver high-quality output on projects, managing the production of Transport Planning deliverables (reports, designs, and analysis) that comply with current standards, guidance and best practices, and BH quality assurance, while supporting our UK Transport Planning Lead in developing our capability and capacity, with scope to develop your role as the team expands Client care and repeat business are crucial to BakerHicks success, so youll need to be able to develop and nurture relationships with our clients (both internal and external). Requirements Qualifications A relative degree and working towards being a Chartered Engineer and/or Transport Planner Membership of a relevant professional institution (CIHT, CILT, IHE, TPS, ICE). Experience Experience in one or more of these areas: spatial and urban design; transport planning/design; business case/economics; transport data analysis/modelling (all levels); GIS/ Accessibility; Active Travel; Bus Infrastructure; development planning; travel planning/behavioural change Proficient in using and analysing data and producing high-quality reports Demonstrable experience of leading the delivering a variety of transport planning projects Experience in applying current UK technical standards/publications, guidance, best practice, and legislation requirements. Experience of Transport Modelling Software Experience in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint essential, other software tools desirable (programming, databases, GIS, AutoCAD Why this role?
