Responsibilities
* Preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
* Supporting clients with year-end audits and liaising with external auditors when required.
* Identifying opportunities to cross-sell services and provide value-added advice.
* Overseeing and reviewing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
* Managing client portfolios, including direct communication to ensure all deadlines are met and expectations are exceeded.
* Providing guidance on corporate structuring, tax planning, and compliance matters for overseas-owned entities.
* Conducting regular financial reviews and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Training and mentoring junior team members as required.
* Maintaining and improving internal processes to enhance client delivery standards.
* Other duties as required by the business.
Requirements
* ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in preparing management and statutory accounts.
* Strong understanding of UK GAAP and VAT regulations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (O365) and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Tax Calc).
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Pre-Audit preparation knowledge to facilitate a smooth handover to Auditors.
* Software Karbon is an advantage, but not required (full training given).
