This tutor role will be ideal if you are a newly qualified teacher, teaching assistant, or have any experience working with children with additional needs and are looking for flexible work.
This tutor role involves working with children who may have additional needs or are looked after. You will provide educational sessions face-to-face with children at their homes or in a local area (e.g., library). Skills and experience such as planning resources around the child’s needs (likely focusing on developing their knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science) and keeping the child engaged with tasks are essential in this role.
The location for this role will vary depending on the needs of the pupil but will be pre-agreed prior to the commencement of the tuition. All pupils for this role, however, will be based in the Derbyshire area, particularly Hatton (DE65), which has extensive transport links by road, bus, or train.
What are we looking for in a tutor?
* Experience working with children or young people.
* Able to plan and deliver core and cross-curricular engaging sessions.
* Applying skills to help pupils' education get back on track.
* Managing and implementing different behaviour strategies.
* Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and providing feedback through assessments.
* Desirable – SEN experience

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 16:00 approximately.
