Due to retirement, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated theatre practitioner to join our peri-operative team within the Golden Jubilee Hospital as SCN/SCODP with Cardiac theatres.
About the Role
As the Cardiac SCN/SCODP, you will be responsible for the daily management of 4 Cardiac theatres whilst ensuring patients receive a high standard of safe, effective and person centred care. This involves not only leading the team within theatres but developing close links with areas such as Critical Care, to enable a smooth patient flow resulting in excellent patient outcomes. You will be pivotal in the provision of the complex Cardiac surgery service, incorporating NORS. The post holder will also have a focus on utilisation, ensuring efficient use of theatres to support patients through their peri-operative journey.
You should be able to demonstrate a strong track record of leadership and managing a team, particularly through change. A commitment to quality, evidence-based care is essential, whilst having a can-do attitude.
As a National Waiting Times Centre, NHS Golden Jubilee is integral in supporting NHS Scotland to deliver a wide range of surgeries and elective programmes, addressing waiting times throughout Scotland.

We have a dedicated Clinical Education Team, who work closely with the Leadership Academy, to provide further training and personal and professional development opportunities.
