We have an exciting opportunity for a Raw Material Import Planner to join our team in Thrapston. We are looking for someone t o support the category to plan and manage delivery of raw material & finished goods in line with the buying programmes. Within this role it is key to build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders and external parties to improve business efficiencies. Some of your responsibilities will include: Managing all inbound stock movement for the category in line with category targets, buyer targets & manufacturing planning You'll continuously review opportunities for business improvement and efficiencies Attend all weekly, monthly and seasonal meetings, ensuring all analysis and reports required are completed Manage and update internal stock & sales to reflect stock movement Working closely with the Buying Manager you'll a nalyse the performance of the category & identify issues & right solutions for improvements Successfully manage and plan the most appropriate route for a shipment To manage all deliveries to manufacturing or final destination obtaining, checking & preparing all documentation for custom clearance – travel documents Co-ordinate consolidation services by air, sea & road, ensuring a cost effective process. Work closely with external freight agents to manage movement of stock and negotiate costs Arrange any required courier and specialist carry services This role will be in the office operating over a 4.5 day working week based in Thrapston.
