Knowledge, Training & Experience
* HNC in Building Services plus specialist training and experience to graduate level, or equivalent gained through a relevant apprenticeship plus additional specialist knowledge and experience gained through specialist training, short courses, and C.P.D.
* Authorized/Responsible and/or Competent Person in one or more of the following specialisms: LV Electrical Systems, HV Electrical Systems, Heating and Ventilation Systems, Decontamination, Safe Water Systems, Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS), Confined Spaces.
* Extensive knowledge of the electrical and/or mechanical and/or plumbing systems in NHS premises.
* In-depth knowledge of all relevant legislation and technical guidance.
* In-depth knowledge of all relevant Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs).
* Significant experience working in a complex engineering/building environment.
Technical Skills & Competencies
* Skilled in maintenance, fault finding, testing, and repair work on a wide range of complex engineering services and equipment, with the ability to work independently in varying, often technical environments while complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
Other requirements specific to the role
* Participate in outside of normal hours on-call rota.
* Full UK driving licence.
Language requirement
* Ability to speak English sufficiently to undertake the role.
