We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team. As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of our students, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education. You will be involved in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals or small groups, as well as assessing, recording, and reporting on students’ progress. Key Responsibilities: Support Learning: Assist teachers in the delivery of the curriculum by planning and delivering lessons to small groups or individuals, both in and out of the classroom. Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging all students to engage with their studies and participate fully in school life. Assessment and Reporting: Monitor student progress, assess work, and provide feedback to teachers, parents, and students to support ongoing learning. Classroom Management: Support classroom management, ensuring a safe and orderly environment that promotes learning. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and to contribute to the continuous improvement of the school. Requirements: Qualifications: HLTA qualification or equivalent is essential. Experience: Previous experience working in a secondary school setting is highly desirable. Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge: Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
