We now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Automation Maintenance Support Engineer to join our client's fast-growing and highly successful team.
The Maintenance Support Engineer will travel to the site and complete all PPM and reactive breakdowns on equipment such as conveyors, robotics, and other automated material handling machinery. You should provide a broad-based electrical/mechanical technical ability along with a right first-time mentality and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve the site’s performance.
Based on our client’s customer sites, the Maintenance Support Engineer must always represent the company’s image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.
This role is working Monday – Friday (8am-4pm) with an on-call 1 in 3 (12pm Sunday to 12pm the following Sunday). This will be paid from door to door with plenty of opportunity to work overtime as well as attractive uplifts for when working on call. The client will provide a company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and a fuel card.
Desired Skills & Experience
1. ONC / BTEC / NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical.
2. Recognised cross-training from Mechanical to Electrical Engineering or vice versa.
3. Health and Safety qualifications desirable.
4. Experience of automated materials handling equipment is desirable.
5. Ability to work at height.
6. Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills desirable.
7. Good team working skills.
