Learn more at www.protexin.com Job Role Responsible for supporting the other members of the production team to help them deliver the business goals across two production facilities, and who are directly responsible for GMP manufacture of our products. With the support of the Production Manager, the role will include overseeing the scheduled production activities, whilst ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained, and the best utilisation of the teams and resources available. Your Responsibilities Develop the team to use lean tools such as (5Y / DMAIC etc). Deputise for the Production Manager in their absence. Identify opportunities for improvement within the organisation (E.g. improve efficiencies / reduce waste). Support the Production Management team with taking improvement ideas and delivering them. Develop cross functional relationships to help enhance team working. Cover other Team Leaders across the various shifts from time to time. (For example - Sickness / Holiday / Training). Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions. Monitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools. Support Operations by playing an active role in Performance Excellence. Assist in the recruitment process. Conduct investigations where necessary (E.g. safety, quality, performance, and conduct issues). Your Profile Experience of managing and motivating a team is essential. Mechanical/machine operative background and sound knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing/continuous improvement techniques. Formal qualifications in lean/continuous improvement are not essential but could be beneficial. Ideally candidates will have worked within a GMP regulated facility or similar (BRC, ISO9001, BETA NOPS).
