We are seeking an experienced and dedicated School Business Manager to join our team and help us manage our financial and operational activities effectively.
Job Overview: The School Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative functions of the school, ensuring efficient and effective support for our educational objectives. This role requires a proactive and organised individual with prior experience in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management: Oversee the school's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure the efficient use of resources and adherence to financial regulations.
2. Facilities Management: Manage the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of school facilities, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
3. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular risk assessments and implementing necessary measures.
4. Procurement: Oversee the procurement of supplies and services, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure value for money.
5. Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the school leadership team, including scheduling, correspondence, and report preparation.
6. Staff Supervision: Supervise and support non-teaching staff, including office, maintenance, and cleaning personnel.
7. Policy Implementation: Ensure the implementation and adherence to school policies and procedures.
8. Event Coordination: Organise and manage school events, trips, and activities, ensuring smooth execution.
9. Technology Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of school technology and IT infrastructure.
10. Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
11. Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in a business management role within a school setting.
12. Education: Relevant qualifications in business administration, finance, or a related field.
13. Skills:Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in budget management and financial planning.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.Ability to lead and manage a diverse team.Proficient in the use of office software and school management systems.
