JLL is looking for a Surveyor to join the Residential Valuation team within our UK Living Advisory business in central Leeds.
Busy, growing, and very successful in our market, the team requires a skilled valuer who is able to carry out valuations across a range of property types and instructions.
Working as part of an established team in a large, national practice, undertaking a variety of residential valuations across the North East and North West, ranging from single assets to large investment portfolios, including developments, with the emphasis on scale and complexity. Mostly for loan security purposes, but also for financial statements, acquisition, disposal, and clients’ internal decision making. Valuation approaches will include comparable, DCF and residual appraisals.
Required or desirable skills and experience for this role:
1. MRICS qualification (essential), ideally 1-2+ years’ PQE.
2. RICS Registered Valuer.
3. Strong experience in the valuation of residential property assets of all types.
4. Fluent user of MS office systems, including data analysis and high standard report writing.
5. Comfortable handling large amounts of data.
6. Excellent written English, with the ability to produce high quality, accurate reports in MS Word with good attention to detail.
7. Experience of successfully building and sustaining client relationships and instructions, including being able to explain and justify the approach and assumptions adopted to clients.
8. Experience in coaching junior colleagues where necessary and supervising their work.
9. Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple, competing priorities.
10. Strong work ethic, with a demonstrable commitment to client service.
11. Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
12. Flexible, team player.
