Due to continued growth, TMS Motor Group is offering a great opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy, successful Aftersales Team at their award-winning family owned and run Loughborough Kia dealership.
We need a problem solver!
Were looking to expand our technical team, and are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated service & diagnostic technician (at least NVQ level 3 or an equivalent) ideally with current MOT testing qualifications.
You will be able to demonstrate a passion for problem solving through use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, combined with advanced technical knowledge to rectify issues found and be confident discussing those issues with customers and explaining in detail any work required and carried out.
And a forward thinker
You also need to have the capacity to grow your skills and knowledge. As product ranges become more technologically advanced, there is a need for technicians to keep up to speed with latest developments, for example electric/hybrid technology. There will be plenty of opportunity for this - through manufacturer training, both online and on instructor led courses, leading to ongoing certifications.
With team spirit
You will be working in a fast-moving environment, with the scope to work as part of a multi-skilled team on a vehicle. So organisational and planning skills are key here, as well as the ability to use your initiative.
Being an MOT tester isn't essential, but desirable. However, this would be an advantage.
Key Tasks:
Service and repair vehicles of all makes and models
Carry out PDI/preparation of new/used vehicles to manufacturers standards
Diagnose faults and carry out testing of vehicles
To carry out all work effectively and within the manufacturer repair times

Ensure all work is carried out to high/manufacturers standards
To maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times
To maintain and update your individual experience, skills and knowledge through training programmes
Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety standards and requirements
Be able to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels in a polite, professional and efficient manner
