Academy Coach Analyst (U15-16s)

What is the role?
In this role, you will work in the Coaching Department to ensure players and staff receive an analysis service that develops their tactical and technical intelligence in a proactive and stage specific manner. You will be delivering video and data analysis, covering matches at Staplewood Training Ground, and on occasion, talent centres, St. Mary’s Stadium or away fixtures.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for ensuring age and stage specific delivery across the U15-U16s by working closely with the coaches in the interdisciplinary team. Additionally, you will be supporting on pitch training session delivery with analysis methods before, during, and after sessions. Furthermore, you will need to work with coaches to develop individual development plans for players in the U15-16s and continue player led analysis and ensure each player experiences this throughout their journey.
You will be setting up cameras to film matches using fixed cameras, tripod and Pixellot Air cameras or vantage points. You will then need to process and upload all matches to Hudl platforms and create a highlights video after each match for the U15-16 age groups and send it to the relevant staff within 24 hours.
In addition, you will make sure each player across the U15-16 has a database relating to their individual development plan and create educational content using footage from senior football or older academy ages to support the academy game model and individual development plans.
You will also mentor work placement students across the academy analysis department, ensure all performance Analysis kit is fit for purpose, and ensure ad-hoc tasks are being fulfilled.

The ideal candidate for this role should have good interpersonal skills that allow them to build and maintain relationships with players and staff across the club. They should be able to manage their workload proactively whilst taking an innovative approach to the analysis provision across age groups in the academy. They should also possess the ability to be adaptable to changing situations both on and off the pitch.
Essential Skills and Experience
* A good level of understanding related to analysis software and hardware
* Experience interpreting data
* A high level of understanding relating to feedback and learning environments at different ages and stages
* Experience using Apple and Microsoft products
* Undertaking or graduate of a bachelor Sport’s degree or master’s level degree in a Performance Analysis or Sports Science.
* Working towards the completion of coaching badges
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience using Hudl products
* Experience using Pixellot products
* UEFA C Licence
