Provide support, guidance and facilitation to staff at all levels of the BRC partnership including managers, individuals and groups of staff to help implement education and training activities and initiatives to support the development of research capacity at all levels. Work closely with internal and external providers and practitioners in the design, development and evaluation of academic career development activities. Support BRC and CRF Joint Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy in delivering any research capacity building and academic career development opportunities. Embed organisational values and act as a driver for education and training through infrastructure initiatives. Work with BRC partner organisations as employers, ensuring that effective policies and procedures are in place and promoted. Support the development of systems and processes to capture workforce data with regards to access to and uptake of training and education opportunities and career pathways. Capture and report on academic career development and research capacity building initiatives for internal governance, external stakeholders and to meet NIHR contractual reporting requirements. Review national policy/reports and requirements, and then operationalise/implement across BRC structures, reporting progress via BRC governance structures. Promote the importance of academic development and research education in the delivery of experimental medicine across BRC partner organisations.
