Job Description
Premier Group Recruitment is looking for a skilled Compliance Manager to lead our client's machinery manufacturing operations in achieving regulatory compliance and quality excellence.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in compliance or quality management, with expertise in regulatory standards, health and safety, and quality management systems.
A competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (plus benefits) is on offer for this key role.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading compliance efforts to ensure products meet national and international standards
* Managing product certification processes and liaising with regulatory bodies
* Conducting risk assessments and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and documentation
* Overseeing audits and inspections, both internal and external
* Providing training and guidance to staff on regulatory requirements and best practices
* Monitoring changes in legislation and implementing necessary updates to company processes
* Collaborating with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle
Requirements
* Proven experience in a compliance or quality management role within machinery manufacturing or a related sector
* Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, including CE, UKCA, ISO 9001, and machinery directives
* Familiarity with health and safety standards, such as PUWER, ATEX, or equivalent
* Experience in risk assessment, audits, and certification processes
* Strong project management and leadership skills
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* Proficiency in compliance and documentation management tools
