The Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join our Housing Advice and Allocations team. The candidate would need to demonstrate experience of delivering customer focused services, dealing with customer enquiries and be able to communicate effectively giving housing advice to a wide range of people. The role involves: Receiving and responding to applications from people who want to apply for social housing and from those reporting to the Council as homeless Undertaking checks on documentation from customers and sending letters to confirm registration Answering email and phone enquiries from customers Providing housing advice to those seeking accommodation and completing initial assessment for those reporting as homelessness Assisting Allocations Officers in the allocation and letting of social housing The role may involve both home working and working from the office.
