GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Chapel-en-le-Frith starting immediately.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering their development and enhancing their educational experience. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in SEN support who are looking for a rewarding and flexible position.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one and group support to students with Special Educational Needs.
* Assist with classroom activities and ensure all students can access the curriculum.
* Implement personalised learning plans and adapt teaching strategies.
* Support students with emotional and behavioural needs, promoting positive behaviour.
* Assist in the preparation of learning resources and materials.
* Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to provide tailored support.
* Monitor and record students' progress and report to the class teacher.
* Encourage social and emotional development through positive interaction.
* Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
SEN TA Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
* Qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or similar are advantageous.
* A degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education or in a similar field.
* A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Must be a driver with access to own transport.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
