They work closely with the Regional Resettlement Officer (RRO) as first line support to all Regular and Medical Discharge Service Leavers. They encourage and guide individuals seeking development opportunities in the period before their termination dates, helping them through the transition to civilian life. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description Working within Learning Forces Flight (LFF) and Force Development Squadron (FDS), the successful candidate will provide support to all personnel entering/progressing in their resettlement period on Station, organising briefs and interviews with the RRO when required. They will give first line resettlement advice based on the policies in place and maintain up to date knowledge on adaptations made to the policy. In addition to this, the successful candidate will: Maintain records by processing resettlement entitlement applications and document all approved Individual Resettlement Training Costs (IRTC). Correctly process claims for resettlement grants and education refunds. Liaise with Defence Exam Centre, correctly administering all external examinations within the Learning Centre, including securing and returning examination papers. Following this, dispatch examination certificates to candidates. Provide impartial advice on courses whilst maintaining an awareness of Learning Credits and Learning Provision policies. This includes advising on available resettlement courses, signposting Service Personnel to bespoke areas of support based on their circumstances, and ensuring individuals are aware of the most beneficial methods of funding available to them. Person specification The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are able to converse with a multitude of individuals on a regular basis. The role is suited to someone with a high level of administration and organisation skills, motivated and enjoys working individually and as part of a small team. A good understanding of Microsoft Office applications would be advantageous, training will be provided on other specific systems used for the role. An enthusiasm for personal progression and someone who enjoys encouraging others to seek out career development opportunities is highly desirable.
