Role Description
The Continuous Improvement Engineer plays a critical role in improving manufacturing operations by implementing process improvements, waste removal, and cost reduction. The ideal candidate will have experience with lean principles and tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, and 5S. Additionally, they should have knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tool design.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions to eliminate waste and reduce costs.
* Facilitate Kaizen workshops and lean events to engage employees in continuous improvement activities.
* Prepare and present improvement activities at the Lean Council, providing data-driven recommendations for process changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
* Project management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, such as mechanical engineering or quality assurance.
