Land Surveyor – Wokingham
Job Description
We are a leading engineering surveyor, looking to appoint an experienced Land & Measured Building Surveyor to join Survey Solutions on a full-time basis.
As a Land & Measured Building Surveyor, you will work independently completing a full range of small to large scale topographical, measured building, and setting out surveys, using innovative technology and processing data to a high working standard. You will be confident working on multi-disciplined survey projects independently and as part of a team, and will have a competent understanding of various surveying methods and data capture.
You will be working remotely, covering exciting survey projects in Hampshire, West London, and the surrounding counties. The ideal candidate will be based in or around the Reading, Basingstoke, Guildford, and/or Woking area.
Responsibilities
As a Land & Measured Building Surveyor, you will:
1. Complete topographical surveys and measured building surveys, of various scale and complexity, independently to a high standard.
2. Work on large and complex surveying projects with team members of various technical ability and experience, to complete the project to a high standard.
3. Provide guidance and direction to team members on large and complex survey projects.
4. Work effectively on projects with trainee, junior, and survey technician level staff, assisting with their development by providing practical experience onsite.
5. Process multi data sets from various instrumentation to a high working standard, including topographical and measured building data.
6. Demonstrate competent knowledge of traversing and GPS control networks.
7. Undertake initial site inspections and complete dynamic risk assessments when attending survey sites, reporting any safety issues to the wider surveying team or to management.
Requirements
The Person:
1. Previous experience working in the surveying industry (2-3+ years).
2. Previous experience completing small to large scale topographical surveys, of various complexities, independently.
3. Previous experience completing measured building surveys, of various scales or complexities, with laser scanners and/or traditional methods independently.
4. Experience processing raw survey data and CAD data to a high working standard.
5. Experience and knowledge of traversing and GPS control networks.
6. Extensive technical knowledge and previous practical experience of topographical surveying, including experience using surveying equipment and software.
7. Passionate about pursuing a long-term career with Survey Solutions.
8. Full UK driving licence.
9. Right to work in the UK.

This is a full-time remote working role with working hours of Monday to Friday from 9.00 – 5.30, however site hours will vary so overtime and occasional weekend working will be required.
