We are seeking to appoint a full-time enthusiastic and committed teacher of English Literature and Language who is able to teach from Year 3 – Year 11, to join our busy and successful school.
Teaching is the passion at St Crispin's Grammar School. All staff design and deliver their own content, all staff are the Head of their department with all teachers being equal in responsibilities and duties. Staff adapt the national curriculum and design, monitor and oversee their own curriculum.
We have a strong commitment to pupils of all abilities in this non-selective school, with all staff having the ability to work closely with a small team, adapt to different teaching environments, and deliver pupil-inspired content. All lessons must have Gifted and Talented stretch and SEN support.
St. Crispin’s Grammar School is a co-educational, day school for ages 2-16 and is situated in the Stoneygate area of Leicester. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of English Literature and Language to join our highly motivated and experienced team, starting from the academic year September 2025.
The post holder will, potentially, take the role of Head of Department. The successful post holder will have opportunities to:
1. Teach smaller class sizes (typically 12 – 16 students) where they can focus on the quality of teaching and the richness of tasks.
2. Gain experience of teaching in an internationally recognised programme which is renowned for its rigour and depth.
3. Lead the department and add value to the growing excellence in the school.

7. Run at least two club sessions at the end of the day, with contributions to sports lessons being welcome.
Our working day contains six taught lessons of 45 minutes and one sport lesson in the middle of the day, with club sessions.
