Exciting opportunity to be part of our new clinic set to open early 2025. Join our team at the Animal Trust clinic in St Helens, Merseyside, as a Lead Veterinary Nurse. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RVN with a passion for people and animals, looking to make a significant impact in veterinary care, enhancing both your skills and experience in a new practice. Key Responsibilities
1. Provide expert nursing care to a diverse range of surgical and medical cases, ensuring high standards of treatment.
2. Utilise our advanced facilities, including two theatres and a dental suite with dental X-Ray; Digital-Xray is available in our diagnostic suite.
3. Manage and monitor inpatients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their stay, with separate dog and cat wards.
4. Engage with pet owners using one of our 6 consulting rooms, offering guidance and support to ensure they understand and are comfortable with their pets’ treatment plans.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Qualification and registration as a Veterinary Nurse.
2. Proven experience in veterinary nursing, with strong competencies in handling both surgical and medical cases.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise with pet owners and work effectively in a team.
4. Leadership experience is advantageous but not necessary.
5. A commitment to professional development, interested in a nurse-led approach to working, and a keen interest in contributing to the broader goals of a community-focused practice.
