SOC Analyst
2 days a week on site – Manchester
Salary up to £60,000
Need to hold SC clearance (or the ability to hold)
One of our leading clients is expanding their SOC team and they are looking to hire an additional SOC analyst. Ideally with 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role – you’ll be able to demonstrate and display the following skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop security requirements, architecture and designs for complex information systems.
2. Conduct security operations including Protective Monitoring, Incident Management, Incident Response and Incident Recovery activities.
3. Develop cyber security assessment approaches.
4. Specify and implement a robust security risk management process.
5. Support accreditation activities with the client and regulating authorities.
6. Conduct security reviews and audits.
7. Maintain familiarity with legislation and regulations of relevance.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Relevant Cyber Security experience from industry.
2. Able to gain SC security clearance with the right to work in the UK and a desire / ability to travel as and when required.
3. IT / Cyber Security certifications such as Microsoft certifications and/or CCSK, CCSP, SSCP/CISSP would be advantageous.
4. Practical experience of cyber security risk/threat assessment approaches to ensure proactive identification of threats.
5. Understanding of design considerations with emphasis on operational safety and the availability/security of operating environments.
6. Working knowledge and hands-on experience in a variety of operating systems.
7. Experience of security engineering and associated solutions (Endpoint Protection, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, etc.).
8. Working knowledge and understanding of networking technologies including architectures, key components and common protocols.
