We seek to appoint a Portering and Security Officer. Post-holders will undertake a variety of vital roles for the College, including:
1. Setting up rooms for events
2. Day-to-day physical security of the site
3. Minor emergency maintenance/repair tasks
4. Initial first aid
5. Coordination of security and fire alarms and services

Hours: The rota operates on a six-week basis with an average of 40 hours per week. Working shifts are Monday to Sunday, with 3 core shift patterns (of 8.5 hours each) as follows:
1. 0600-1430
2. 0930-1800
3. 1400-2230
These shifts will be scheduled on a rota basis. Please refer to the rota document and the job description for the available working patterns; note that weekly rotas are subject to change.
The salary: Starting salary will be £25,708.80 per annum, moving to £26,582.40 per annum after passing on-the-job training and probation.
Night Shifts: Portering and Security Officers work up to 11 night shifts per year to cover the annual leave of the Night Security Officers. When covering Night Security shifts, a higher rate of pay will be paid for each hour worked between the hours of 8pm to 6:30am. Details can be found in the job description link.
A full clean driving licence is required, and experience of working in a school would be desirable.
