We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Kidderminster, starting February 2025. This role offers flexible working options-full-time, part-time, or contract-to fit your schedule. As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them overcome learning barriers and build emotional resilience in a nurturing environment.
- Deliver engaging, tailored lessons that support students with SEMH needs.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to enhance learning experiences.
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Support students in developing social and emotional skills to engage with learning.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, liaising with colleagues and external professionals.
- Follow safeguarding and child protection policies to ensure student well-being.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent behaviour management techniques.
- A sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude in challenging situations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
