Key Responsibilities:
* Environmental Support: Provide expert advice and guidance to operational teams on environmental issues.
* Environmental Management: Develop and maintain local environmental management and sustainability plans.
* Compliance & Coaching: Ensure on-site compliance with environmental legislation while coaching teams on controls and mitigation measures.
* Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, clients, and subcontractors.
* Incident Reporting: Investigate and report environmental incidents to the Environment & Sustainability Project Partner, ensuring proper actions are taken.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Proven experience in environmental management, ideally within the construction or related sectors. Familiarity with environmental legislation, ecology, and archaeology mitigation is desired.
* Proactive & Results-Driven: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle challenges while delivering tangible environmental benefits.
* Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels, advising on environmental strategy and best practices.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly to project sites across the North Yorkshire region, with a valid driver’s licence.
