- £12.50+ per hour (days, rate offered depending on experience)
- £14.00+ per hour (nights, rate offered depending on experience)
- Shifts: Three shift patterns available as follows;
- 1 x 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM - driving Bendi / Flexi / Pivot (temp to perm)
- 1 x 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM - driving Bendi / Flexi / Pivot (temp to perm)
- 1 x 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM - Counterbalance / Reach (temporary ongoing)
All shifts above are Monday to Friday (NO WEEKENDS)
Pay frequency: Weekly pay for the previous weeks worked hours (including weekly pay after 12 weeks, should this proceed to an offer of a permanent contract)
We are currently recruiting for three experienced FLT Drivers with Bendi or Counterbalance experience (certification or refresher within the past 5 years) to join a reputable client in Leyland. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently within a warehouse and production environment, ensuring smooth materials handling to support ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Forklift Trucks (FLT) in a busy warehouse setting.
- Load and unload goods and materials from delivery vehicles.
- Move stock to designated storage areas and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Ensure that stock is handled carefully to prevent damage and maintain product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement, including materials received and dispatched.
- Perform regular safety checks and report any faults or issues with equipment.
- Always adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, such as picking and packing when required.
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
Key Requirements:
- LICENCES: Can either be inhouse or external (RTITB or ITSAAR) within the past 5 years (proof of certification / refresher required).
- Previous experience working as a FLT driver within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks, such as lifting and moving stock.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude to work.
