What You’ll Do
As AWS DevOps Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable AWS infrastructure for big data applications. You will join the team that drives transformational change to support law enforcement and intelligence agencies in the detection and prevention of terrorism and serious crime.
* Design and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex data collection and exploitation systems.
* Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of AWS services using AWS native tools.
* Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines using appropriate tools to ensure smooth and efficient code deployments.
* Maintain and enhance security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC configurations, and data encryption.
* Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes.
Who You Are
Essential:
* Extensive experience working with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, and Athena.
* Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment, with a focus on continuous integration and delivery.
* Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
* Extensive experience in writing and managing CloudFormation templates to automate the provisioning of AWS resources.
* SC clearance or eligibility to be SC cleared.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with big data concepts and technologies, ideally in a telecommunications environment.
* Proficiency in Azure DevOps.
* Knowledge of relevant UK legislation including IPA, DPA, and GDPR.
