JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Head of Education for UK and ROI, the role of Regional Educator is to provide inspirational education and training to the top salon and premium retail channels by championing brand advocacy, mentoring, supporting, and developing the Regional Freelance Education Team as well as the Premium Retail Brand Ambassadors.
To provide and support Education across all omni channels within the UK business to all key partners. The Regional Educator is pivotal in the fulfilment of the UK and ROI ambitious salon sales plans, and this role will directly contribute to these targets by providing the ‘best class’ education that leaves a lasting impression, which is inspiring, professional, and that anything is possible mindset.
The UK and Ireland is the largest and most developed markets for ghd. It is a critical territory for the sustainability of the brand at a global level. Consequently, the education manager is a key stakeholder within the organisation, who will inspire and lead teams to ensure every channel objective is achieved and executed with excellence and leads best-in-class examples as a flagship market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Foster a culture of creativity and excellence.
2. Role model and champion the 5Cs framework: be Collaborative, Creative, Courageous, Connected, Committed.
3. Deliver in salon trend led education sessions to key account salons, national accounts and high tier ghd stockists.
4. Support the sales team with gaining new ghd stockists.
5. Support the salon channel with effective recommendation and communication of ghd brand implementing REDAC & supporting sell through.
6. Attend regional and national sales meetings representing the education department.
7. Attend Area Sales Manager (ASM) meetings to provide educational updates.
8. Attend National and Key Account education/planning/trade meetings.
9. Support National and Key Account Managers with the effective organisation and timetable of education deployment within major salon groups.
10. Support with the launch and activation of new innovations within the salon channel.
11. Maintain clear lines of communication with Premium Retail Brand Ambassadors.
12. Mentor a regional team of freelance ghd educators, providing them with clear brand communications, training, development, and support.
13. Be responsible for an in-depth reporting system on all regional education.
14. Support with the launch and activation of new innovations within the premium retail channel.
15. Support All REDAC seminar for the premium retail teams.
16. Keep regular contact with Premium Retail Brand Ambassadors maintaining clear lines of communication.
17. Present at regional meetings, shows, seminars and events.
18. Develop a strong social media presence promoting brand advocacy.
19. Attend monthly education meetings.
20. Report weekly to the UK and ROI Head of Education.
21. Involvement in highly confidential NPD testing and activation.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Highly qualified senior hair stylist background.
2. Confident understanding of social media.
3. Education & training experience.
4. Coaching/mentoring experience.
5. Presentation experience with a variety of different sized audiences.
6. Excellent IT skills such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
7. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
8. Fashionable with a keen understanding of the Hair, Fashion, and Beauty industry.
9. Hunger to be part of a brand at the forefront of innovation.
10. Professional manner always with a high level of customer focus.
11. Ability to adapt education or communication to a variety of different teams and stylists.
12. Self-motivated, passionate, empathetic individual with a positive attitude, “can do” approach and entrepreneurial growth and ‘anything is possible’ mindset.
13. Resilience and agile to the dynamic nature of the ever-changing market and business needs.
14. Strong organisational skills, an eye for detail and ability to juggle multiple projects and multitask under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
