Property Manager - Compliance
Location: Remote (with periodic travel across England)
Salary: Circa £50,000, depending on experience

Are you an experienced property compliance leader with a passion for safety, quality, and operational excellence? Abbeyfield, a leader in senior living and care, is looking for a dynamic Property Manager (Compliance) to join our team and help maintain and enhance our extensive property portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Lead and develop our national Compliance team, fostering a proactive, engaged, and skilled group.
* Compliance Management: Oversee compliance across six streams of health and safety (gas, fire, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene, lifting equipment) to maintain regulatory adherence.
* Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient compliance processes, integrating technology to enhance service delivery.
* Contract and Supplier Management: Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure quality and cost-effective compliance services.
* Financial Oversight: Manage the Compliance budget, authorise expenditures, and develop long-term investment plans.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong partnerships with external and internal stakeholders to uphold Abbeyfield’s reputation in property compliance management.
Candidate Profile:
Essential:
* Proven experience in leading a team within property compliance or facilities management.
* Deep knowledge of compliance regulations, including health and safety protocols.
* Strong analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and experience managing remote teams.
* Background in contract administration and third-party supplier management.
* Experience in disaster recovery planning and emergency management.
Desirable:
* Experience in care home or sheltered housing management.
* Knowledge of the charitable sector and understanding of the housing needs of older adults.
