JMC Aviation are working with a MRO company based near Cardiff, looking to recruit a new Compliance & Safety Engineer to join their team. This company are global leaders in Aircraft Storage, Disassembly and Storage services. The role has arisen as the company is growing on the maintenance arm of their business, while welcoming the introduction of a new hangar. The team are dedicated to delivering exceptional maintenance services, ensuring value at every step for some of the world's leading lessors and airlines. In a varied and dynamic environment, the company work with a diverse range of aircraft types and requirements - from short-term storage, complex modification packages, interior reconfigurations, to end-of-lease maintenance activities. This is a Permanent Position based near Cardiff, working Mon - Friday, 38.5 hours per week Salary and Benefits: Competitive Salary based on experience Annual Leave 25 days plus bank holidays Medical Care Company Pension Plan Overtime available The Role: The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to the CMM, demonstrating compliance with regulatory standards, company procedures and safety policies. Assuring that maintenance activities meet both regulatory standards and company procedures. Other duties involve: Ensure compliance to EASA / CAA Part 145 & national regulations Assist with the production & implementation of the Part 145 audit programme (Inclusive of corrective actions) Control of the company authorisation system Conducting Investigations in support of the SMS Programme Assist in facilitating hazard identification, risk assessment and management Monitoring Supplier / Sub Contractor performance Conduct Safety & Compliance audits as prescribed by the Audit Plan Daily administration & monitoring of the Occurrence Reporting System Report any findings or concerns to the CMM for escalation to the Accountable Manager / NPH's Compile submissions for MOE revisions as required. In order to be successful in this role the Compliance & Safety Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes Detailed knowledge of EASA / CAA Part 145 Regulations and their practical application Detailed knowledge of Part 66 requirements Knowledge & experience of H&S requirements Qualified Auditor experienced in aviation / engineering environment Current in Safety Training (including Human Factors), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) Phase 1, Electrical Wiring Interconnecting Systems (EWIS) Group 6 training Experienced and competent Investigator, with evidence of investigation training Passport enabling travel to locations as required by the company as part of the role Full, clean UK driving license Eligible to qualify for and hold UK airside security pass Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) etc. If you think this is the role for you and you have the necessary skills and attributes, please apply today or contact JMC Aviation for more details.
