Key Objectives/ Deliverables To lead and develop the QHSE portfolio in conjunction with the Directors and Senior Managers of Genesis Technology Services ltd and to support line managers in delivering these objectives to our employees, contractors, customers and suppliers with the ultimate aim of ensuring that working conditions for our employees, contractors, customers and suppliers are maintained in a safe and environmentally controlled way and that they meet or exceed all relevant legislation, regulations and laws. Responsibilities Operational Experience Essential – Help determine the strategic direction and work priorities in conjunction with the Directors for the continuous improvement of our QHSE offering especially the systems and documentation underpinning it. Advise the Directors and line management and assist with the implementation of new or existing QHSE-related legislation, rules and company standards to include fire prevention, health and safety awareness training, site inspections of Company and contractors sites. To investigate accidents and ensure all documentation is updated and any necessary investigation is undertaken recorded and any required remedial action is implemented and assessed. Develop and maintain monthly QHSE Communication Strategy for all sites and levels of staff, to include written information, tool box talks and management briefs. Undertake the function of CDM Coordinator as required by the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 in relation to any duties allocated to Genesis within projects. Nominated responsible person for Company preparations for annual ISO recertification(s). Liaise with HR Department for initiating and coordinating any training plans that are required and updating information for personnel and task/project requirements. To take the lead in retaining all current quality accreditations and work towards the attainment of new quality accreditations with individual stakeholders. Advise line management in offices and on customers’ sites of the health, safety, quality and environmental matters pertinent to our operations and manage these processes to ensure all advice is incorporated into day to day procedures and operations. Lead the Company (where required) in meeting its obligations under the “Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 1999”. Provide support and expertise to line management in incident investigation and reporting (including dangerous occurrences and occupational diseases). Facilitate all forms of risk assessment e.g. general, manual handling, COSHH, fire prevention and act as a final authority when a specialist response is required in relation to risk assessments performed by our people working on site. Conduct occupational health and safety related surveys e.g. noise, lighting, exposure to chemical substances and act upon any adverse findings. Conduct audits on Genesis activities to cover all pertinent aspects of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety, compile reports on the findings of these audits. Produce and coordinate the annual QHSE action plan and longer term QHSE roadmap in conjunction with the company Directors. Report at regular intervals on progress with the roadmap. Undertake any customer Health and Safety reviews as defined by our customers. Undertake any environmental accreditations reviews as defined by our customers. Support Sales and Delivery teams in RFP/RFI/RFQ preparation. Desirable – · Undertake inductions and sign off any new starter as being fit for the proposed allocated role. Conduct pre implementation risk assessments on new sites, office and staff as and when required or as per defined frequency and identify risk mitigation measures in conjunction with senior engineers and site operators/owners. Drive Risk mitigation plan for closure Review Employee and Contractor Risk Assessments. Visit sites to assess work for compliance to relevant requirements. · Compile project specific emergency response and preparedness plans. · Review and update health and safety plans for each task and project. · Support the SCM Manager in assessing potential new suppliers and auditing them at intervals as defined by the on-boarding process. · Create and maintain employee handbooks in conjunction with the HR department. · Audit Sites Physically and Remotely as per business requirements. Submit Quality Audit reports and punch points. · Track and drive faster closure of Quality punch points · Ensure No health and safety risk to field force and comply all control checks · Work in conjunction with the GDC to ensure that all departments review their own documentation as required and noted in the documentation tracker. · Conduct Regular Online and Field Trainings on QHSEF, Process and Compliance · Validate Process, Identify Gaps and drive the improvement plan · Support Business in automation and process compliance · Maintain the QHSE Environmental Aspects register, update as required. · Formulate and maintain emissions tracker based on Genesis sphere of operations. · Carry out regular building audits and report deficiencies to the building manager. · Attend customer review meetings when required. · Attend relevant forums such as MATS to ensure that Genesis remains at the forefront of the information chain. Desirable – · Good computer skills. · Ability to travel freely. Academic & Technical Background Essential – IOSH Managing Safely. NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety Management. CDM 2015 accreditation. ISO Internal Auditor qualification. · Relevant Health and Safety training accreditation – Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Rooftop Worker, RF awareness, Electrical Awareness, First Aid.
